Objectives

The delegate will take part in a training programme which provides the knowledge and skills required to be able to undertake basic tasks in a safe manner whether using power tools.

The training will enable the person to:

1. Have a knowledge of the main legislation affecting use of work equipment

2. Use basic power tools properly and safely

3. Carry out a safety inspection of tools

4. Maintain and care for tools

5. Understand and use power tools

Requirements

Some previous engineering knowledge would be an advantage but is not essential.

PLEASE ALSO NOTE THAT IN THE EVENT OF ANY DELEGATES NOT TURNING UP ON THE DAY, UNLESS WE HAVE BEEN ADVISED PRIOR TO THIS, YOU MAY BE CHARGED 30% OF THE COURSE FEES FOR COSTS INCURRED

This course is suitable for mechanical maintenance staff, operators, assembly workers and other staff in a variety of crafts involving the use of power tools.
