Objectives

This course is designed to provide delegates with an understanding of the skills and techniques required to carry out internal verification of workplace assessment against national vocational standards. Successful completion of the course and a portfolio of workplace evidence will lead to the Internal Quality Assurance of Assessment Processes and Practice (Level 4 Award).

The course will enable to delegate to build the knowledge and skills to:

1. Explain the context and principles of internal quality assurance.
2. Explain how to plan the internal quality assurance of assessment.
3. State techniques and criteria for monitoring the quality of assessment internally.
4. Describe how to manage information relevant to the internal quality assurance of assessment.
5. Describe the legal and good practice requirements for the internal quality assurance of assessment.
6. Plan the internal quality assurance of assessment.
7. Evaluate the internal quality of assessment.
8. Maintain and improve the internal quality of assessment.
9. Manage the information relevant to the internal quality assurance of assessment.
10. Maintain the legal and good practice requirements when internally monitoring the quality assurance of assessment.

Requirements

Delegates will be required to carry out a series of internal verifications with candidates in the workplace, and submit a portfolio of evidence based on this in order to complete the award.

PLEASE ALSO NOTE THAT IN THE EVENT OF ANY DELEGATES NOT TURNING UP ON THE DAY, UNLESS WE HAVE BEEN ADVISED PRIOR TO THIS, YOU MAY BE CHARGED 30% OF THE COURSE FEES FOR COSTS INCURRED

£1,100 (plus agreed assessment visit costs)
The above price includes all course materials, registration with awarding body and certification, the initial one day training carried out at EKGTA. This also includes up to 4 assessment and portfolio building visits. Any additional visits will be charged at £160 per visit.

EKGTA can also provide a support service to delegates providing guidance and assistance in developing the portfolio prior to submission. The cost of this service will be discussed and agreed with delegate/employer prior to commencement.
