Objectives
This course will provide a basic understanding of the techniques and knowledge required to apply hydraulics safely and effectively in the workplace.
The course will enable the delegate to build the knowledge and skills to:
1. Explain how oil is pressurised and distributed through a system.
2. Identify the major pieces of equipment used in the application of hydraulics.
3. Identify CETOP symbols.
4. Dismantle the major components of a hydraulic system.
5. Work with pumps, relief valves and directional control valves.
6. Explain how oil is filtered and why.
7. Demonstrate an understanding of the Health & Safety implications of applying hydraulics.
Requirements
Previous engineering knowledge / skills would be an advantage but not essential.
Notes
Training will be carried out by specialist staff through lectures, demonstrations, individual coaching and practical experience in a workshop environment.
A sandwich lunch will be provided.
