Objectives

The course fully meets the requirements of the 17th edition of the IEE regulations (including 1st Amendment) and covers the following topics:

1. Scope, Object and Fundamental Principles
2. Definitions
3. Assessment of general characteristics
4. Protection for safety
5. Selection and erection of equipment
6. Inspection and testing
7. Special installations or locations
8. Appendices

Requirements

The course is intended for practicing electricians with relevant experience however it is open to anyone working in an electrical environment who need to enhance their understanding of the regulations.

Notes

1. Level 3 Award in the Requirements Electrical Installations BS 7671: June 2008 (2011)
 
2. Each candidate will require a copy of the IEE 17th Edition Wiring Regulations(Green Book) for the course and for the examination. EKGTA can provide this at the discounted price of £62. Please request a copy of the regulations in the comments box when booking the course.

3. A non programmable calculator is required by each candidate.

4. A sandwich lunch will be provided.

5. The course examination is a 2 hour multiple choice, open book PC based exam which allows instant results. Exams are available between 0830-1330 and are normally arranged for the following week.

6. Exam Re-sits.
