Objectives
This course is designed for staff who will or may be involved in performance appraisal, typically a manager, supervisor or team leader's role, where the purpose of appraisal is to lead to assessment and improvement of personal performance in the workplace.
The course will enable to delegate to build the knowledge and skills to:
1. Identify the benefits and weaknesses of appraisal systems.
2. Plan the appraisal process.
3. Structure an assessment interview.
4. Conduct a structured and participative appraisal discussion.
5. Carry out an assessment of personal strengths and weaknesses.
6. Devise personal development plans.
7. Set smart objectives and coach others to do the same.
8. Review own performance appraisal skills based on constructive feedback received.
9. Relate learning to their own organisation.
Requirements
Candidates will be required to actively participate in practice sessions designed to enhance their skills and understanding.
Notes
All training will be carried out by specialist staff through individual coaching, lectures, and practical exercises.
This course requires a minimum of 3 candidates to run.
