Objectives
This course is designed to introduce delegates to key concepts of Word as a word processor or document publishing tool within the Microsoft Office suite.
The delegate will enable to delegate to build the knowledge and skills to:
1. Create new documents
2. Save documents
3. Open existing documents
4. Edit documents
5. Enter text
6. Format text using fonts, sizes, emphasis tools
7. Use automated tools for check spelling, grammar etc.
8. Create standard documents using templates
9. Create and use tables
10. Insert graphics and clip art
11. Use Work Art
12. Create simple headers and footers
13. Page layouts and margins
14. Printing documents
15. Using help facilities
Requirements
Delegates should have a basic knowledge of PCs or keyboard skills, but previous experience of Word is not necessary. Candidates who do not have any previous experience on PCs should undertake the Introduction to PCs course prior to this course.
Notes
All training will be carried out by specialist staff through individual coaching, lectures, demonstration and practical experience using Microsoft Workstations. A reduced rate may apply if a longer course is booked, perhaps involving two or more levels of tuition.
A cold buffet lunch is provided.
