Objectives
This course is designed to introduce delegates to a computer aided manufacturing processes utilising the Colchester Tornado Turning Centre and ColCAM software to manufacture components in 2 axis and 3 axis:
By the end of this course the delegates will have the skill and knowledge necessary to:
1. Import an existing DXF. File
2. Edit as required
3. Post process the tool path
4. Generate machine code
5. Simulate programme by running graphics
6. Export programme to machine
7. Set-up machine
8. Prove programme by manufacture
9. Inspect component using Coordinated Measuring Machine (CMM)
Requirements
An engineering background is required and knowledge of AutoCAD and CNC machining would be an advantage.
Notes
1. All training is carried out by specialist staff, through individual coaching. Lectures, demonstrations and practical exercises.
2. A sandwich lunch will be provided.
3. This course would be beneficial to unemployed people who wish to up-grade their skills set.
