Fork Lift Truck (Refresher & Re-test)

Objectives

This course has been designed to enable the participant to:

1. Recall the most important aspects of safe truck operation from previous
training
2. Operate a fork lift truck in accordance with the approved code of
practice

During the course participants will learn about:

Operating fork lift trucks in simulated working conditions
Fork lift truck design and stability
Operating the truck safely
Stacking and racking systems
Working with dangerous goods

Requirements

The course will end with a practical operating test and a theoretical safe working knowledge examination. The operating license and course certificate will only be awarded to delegates who are successful in both of these elements.

Notes

Courses are conducted on the clients premises using client assets.

This course is designed for experienced fork lift operators who require refresher training and/or re-testing for any of the reasons stated in the approved code of practice. Courses will be limited to a maximum of 3 participants.

This course fully meets the requirements of the Approved Code of Practice - Rider Operated Lift Truck Operator training and is led by qualified instructors registered with the Road Transport Industry Training Board.
